Holiday Wishes

Happy Holidays!!!

I recently got to spend the turkey season with my family in Norther California.  While I was down there, I saw a lot of my family.  Thanksgiving day, my cousin came over with her little girl, Hannah.  I just adore this girl.  I think it's because we both like to sing, dance, and be silly... you know, act our ages :)  I asked her at one point if she wanted to be pen pals.  She asked where I live and I told her Idaho.  She then replied that she couldn't do that, it was too far.  I explained to her what Pen Pals were and she said she would try.  The humor on this one is priceless.

Here is the Christmas card I made and sent down to her

Recipe:
white card stock for card base
polka dot paper from old time Christmas paper studio stack
Treat tag die from Jaded Blossom on teal and white card stock
2 flag dies (one from each set) Jaded Blossom
Penguin and sentiment were stamped from Winter Penguin also Jaded Blossom
I colored the penguin with Bic permanent markers and used my gellyroller stardust pen for the snowflake

I may have been more excited to make this for her than she is to receive it.  I can't wait to see if she sends something back.

2013 Christmas Cards

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours!!!

Thos of you who papercraft and make your own cards each year will probably relate to this post...

The past 2 years I have been so busy during the Christmas season, I have not been able to send out Christmas cards to family and friends.  And because I don't like to leave anyone out when it comes to homemade goodies, I make about 60 each year.

I took full advantage of dusting off my Christmas tools and got to work.

I created 8 different cards using Paper Studio Christmas Stack
I used the ever so popular and adorable reindeer from the Jaded Blossom Christmas Wishes stamp set
The sentiment also came from this stamp set.
The Christmas Wishes set has to be one of my absolute favorites!
Each of the cards I rounded the edges and chalked them with either green, red, or grey chalk.
I matched the cardstock for the reindeer stamp and sentiment with the corresponding chalk from the card base.
I also used matching stickles on the antlers and added glittery decorations.

Here's one of each of the cards I made

and a close up of a few of them.

Well, I sure hope you enjoyed my project!
