Relay for LIfe

Every June Relay for Life becomes a big part of our community up here.

I was asked to make some thank you treats for a team of volunteers who helped out at the event this year.  Jaded Blossom has one of the best fight for a cure stamp sets that are always a perfect go to for this event.

Recipe::
1x8 bags from Jaded Blossom
Fight for a cure girly from Fight for a Cure stamp set with Jaded Blossom
Sentiment is from - you guessed it... Jaded Blossom's Fight for a cure stamp set
I colored this girly with BIC permanent markers and added gelly roller glitter pens
I filled the goodie bags with purple and white sixlets
I used a white gel pen to add stitching to the purple boarder
I tied it all together with purple and white twine

I just love how these turned out.

Of Course I'm Awesome

My husband saw a sweatshirt and instantly decided he wanted to get it for his dad.  I knew then and there, this was my oportunity to try heat transfer for the first time.  And, because it saved us money he was all for it!

It was a huge learning experiance for me.  Not only was it my first time with heat transfer but it was my first time creating my own design with my silhouette.  Thank you everyone who had made youtube videos for how to projects!  You were my saving grace.  and I'm pretty sure I watched all of them.  lol

Ok, so, here's my project! and his dad loved it which made it even better!!!

I was so excited how it turned out.  I'm looking forward to my next project already!

You Rule

At the end of a school year comes end of year treats for teachers, teacher assistants, and the kiddos in class.

I made this teacher's gift for a friend of mine who's moving into the 5th grade next year.  This was for his assistant teacher.

I filled 4 1x8 candy stick bags from Jaded Blossom with blue and red M&M's.
I tied all 4 of them together with red tulle on one end then twisted and braided them together and tied the opposite end with tulle as well.
I took a picture of the back so you could see how they were twisted up.
I used the top of the ticket die from Jaded Blossom, the ruler stamp from them as well as the sentiment.
I chalked the edges with orange and stuck it on with pop dots.

Stay tuned for more school treats this week
