Guest Design Day at ScrappyDew Creations

I am so excited about this post.  I have had this idea since the first day I found the image on ScrappyDew's website.  I had to find a way to use just about every image in the set, and we all know my love for banners!

Here is my creation for today's post

Recipe:
I created the banner background on my silhouette with the free draw tool, cut out in 2 different sizes to layer them
I also cut out the letters using a standard font in Silhouette's design studio
The adorable little characters including the bugs on each letter pendant are from the Bug Catchers - 2012 image file.
I added stitching with a white gel pen on each letter and around the first layer of the pendants.
I added lime green gems to each piece as well and strung it all together with the same color ribbon.

I can't get enough of these cuties.  I'm sure, just like I've said with every other post, I'll be using these ones again!

Thank You Ya'll

I wanted to send my parents an extra special thank you and as soon as I saw this on the design on the silhouette online store I knew it was fit for them.
It was simple to put together.  I did use too many pop dots on the steps though, I had to make an envelope for it to fit in.  haha.

Recipe:
Tan cardstock for base
Paperstudio bandana paper from the Rodeo stack and chalked all these edges with a brown ink.
I used texture cardstock for the words and bought the whale tale font from the silhouette studio
Wagon wheel is put on wiht a brad
Cactus, this was one of my favorite parts, I cut it out on a neon shade green and chalked the edges with a grass green  then I took the ink pad and dabbed it to look like it was splattered with color.

I sure hope you like it.  It was a fun design.  I look forward to making more cards like this

Guest Design Day for ScrappyDew

Ahhhh, such a relaxing day today...

Today is my second day getting to guest design for ScrappyDew Creations.  I just love the image set I used today.  This set, Spa Day has great images.

I wanted to create something a little different than just another card or banner, don't get me wrong, I love making cards and banners.  I guess I was just feeling a little out of the box when I saw this.

I created a little goodie bag to pass out to a girlfriend who may need a pick me up or a just because kinda treat for a friend.

This spa girl was a lot of fun to put together. I can see using her on many designs in the future.

Recipe:
The adorable spa girl is from ScrappyDew's Spa Day image set
I used Jaded Blossom's die and sentement from their Pamper yourself stamp set for the backdrop
After chalking the edges of her cuts, I used my atyou spika pens by copic to add sparkle to her towel, head wrap, hair, and cucumber eyes.
I topped her towel off with off white jute
I attached her to a 3x6 bag with a zipper top filled with lotion and foot scrub.

I can't get enough of how fun she is.  Stay tuned for more spa days, I'm sure!

Baby Ashley Rose

I got a Cameo for Christmas this year and have been so intimidated by it, I just recently pushed the power button. And let me say, where have you been my whole life you gorgeous little machine! I'm in love at the ease of this and how it has renewed my excitement in creating images. Ok... enough plugging Silhouette (I really love it though!)

This goes along with yesterday's post for the baby shower. Those of you who have followed me for a while know that I have a passion for making banners. I just love how every one turns out different and the designs are endless. This one is for my cousin's baby girl.

The banner border and the 3-d flower were both purchase from the sillhouette online store. I added gems and pearls to the border.  The flower I curled all the edges up and then chalked the edges with white to add more color dimension to it.  I used a white brad in the center to keep them all together.

I just love how this came out, stay tuned for more cameo projects from me.  it's my new favorite thing!

Baby Shower time

I recently was asked to help out for my cousin's baby shower and of course I was glad to help! The them was tea party and I was given a sample invite that the hostess loved. I bet this party is going to be great! What a great idea.

We also worked on party favors.  She wants to give out nail polish for favors to the guests.  I used my favorite Jaded Blossom Stamps and got right to work.

These polishes turned out cute.  I printed a light pink teapot on white cardstock, stamped Jaded Blossom "It's a girl" sentiment on top and added them to a scalloped circle.

Guest Designer for ScrappyDew Creations

I am so extremely happy to say this month I will be guest designing for ScrappyDew Creations.  I came across their adorable images on Pinterest and since then have found myself browsing the sight buying images for projects year round.

This week I picked an image from the Spring Kids set.   One of the things I really love about ScrappyDew is that when you buy an image set, you don't get just one image, you get a whole collection.  I had a hard time picking just one for my first project.

Ok, I decided to create a 5x5 card just to drop in the mail and make someones day.

Isn't this little girl such a cutie!  I can't wait to come up with more projects for her.

recipe:
Dark teal cardstock for base
cross hatched teal background paper from 6x6 by my mind's eye
ScrappyDew Creations Spring Kids image of course
solid and textured cardstock was used for the girl, fence, and flowers.
her polka dot shirt and accessories are from a 4x6 dcwv stack
I chalked the edges of each piece cut.
Her hair has sparkles from atyou spika pens by copic
Stickles are what make the flower centers sparkle
I added recollections gems to the top left of the card
Using my uniball white gel pen, I drew stitch marks around the outside boarder of the card
I cut out the wavy flag from the mini tag dies set
and to top it all off I added a sentiment from Jaded Blossom from the original Bug-a-Boo stamp set.

I really hope you enjoy this little one as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

Come back and see me guest designing again next Thursday.

~Enjoy!~
