Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! I was thrilled when jaded blossom released their fall stamps and I've been waiting for the perfect time to use them.
I recently bought these bags from a new website that is detrimental to my checkbook. Ha. Not really but as soon as I saw these bags I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
I stamped the the pumpkin with orange color box ink and drew over the stem with brown and the vine with green. The green bled a little but not too bad.
I stamped no tricks just treats with black versaprint ink and got to stamping. I add I rock gems to the pumpkin and the leaf. I'm rather find of it!!
I thought the draw strings were too plain so I decided to make them look like the ever so popular bakers twine. I twisted two stings together as tight as I could get them then used orange and black marker to add stripes.
I hope you like it. I like them so much I'm regretting not buying more bags!!!

Congrats Uncle Donnie
My Aunt told me that my Uncle recently got a new job driving truck for a local company, he'll be home in the evenings and weekends and that was a huge plus for their family. When I heard about this I immediatley knew what I wanted to make. I love shape cards but don't often step out of my rectangled comfort zone to make them. I whipped out my gypsy and used the truck from just because cards, added a box over the rails on the truck bed to make it look like a big haul truck.
I looked up his company online and found out the colors are blue and orange... perfect!
Here's what I made for him, I hope you like it!

Celebrate Today
I have been finding myself making a lot of congrats and celebration cards lately. That makes me step back and think how happy I am for those receiving these cards and in the world where there is so much negativity, I love the positive changes happening in people's lives.
Here is another simple celebrate card. I set up 4 stamps on a block, stamped it with versafine ink and colored it with what else but... At you spika pens :)
Before I added the cream layer on the card base with my homemade pop dots, I ran the top 1/2 of the card through the cuttlebug to add more texture.
I hope you like it.

Tutu for Paeton
For those of you who have been following my blog, I've made it pretty clear that I'm going to be an aunt. Well, the time has come and it's no longer a past tense sentence.
I got to go see her this past Labor Day weekend and, I may be a little prejudice but let me tell you, she is so stinking cute!
A little background on this project. When we threw a baby shower for my brother and his wife back in June, there were some frilly tutu's on the registry that a few of us laughed at. Immediately assuming that my sister-in-law picked out these cuties to annoy the heck out of my brother who is a boys boy loving lifted trucks and playing in the mud. Well, come to find out, my brother, the muddy boy's boy, picked out the tutu's and put them on the registry. He was so excited about them too. I have seen many people making tutu's on their own and it looked easy enough. I had to give it a try.
I went to Michael's and found light pink tule, hot pink tule with glitter on it, and white tule ribbon with white polka dots on it. I sat on the floor in the middle of the isle and compared about 6 different options because of course, there were other colors and I had to chose just the right ones. I could only imagine the looks I was getting but I didn't care. I was making this for my NIECE! lol.
I rushed right home, cut the tule into 12" strips (luckily I bought them in spools so they were already 6" wide) and started making the tutu. I should have known that the glitter hot pink tule was too cute not to be messy. Good thing my husband wasn't home when I was trying this idea out :) There was glitter everywhere.
It only took me about 2 hours to complete the entire thing and I love it. I'm pretty sure I stared at it for a few hours just because I was so impressed with it and.... of course, I kept picturing Miss Paeton in it.
When I got down to CA to see the family I took out the tutu and my brother insisted he be the first to wear it :)
I am an aunt!
My brother and sister-in-law welcomed a gorgeous baby girl into the world on August 17th at 4:40am. Her name is Paeton Marie and she weighed exactly 9 pounds and was 20.5 inches long.

Then we all couldn't wait to put it on Paeton and see who looked cuter!
I'm going to go with paeton. lol.
Here are a few pictures of it right after I made it.

Jaded Blossom September Challenge
Jaded blossom holds a monthly stamp challenge and I'll be the first to admit. I've been slacking the past few months. I saw this months challenge and had to make time to get back in the game. The challenge was simple: make a new project using any jaded blossom stamp.
Well, I have yet to use the simple sayings stamp set even though I absolutely love it. I kept it simple with red, black, and white colors. I added some at you spika pen to the tree trunk and a few branches. I hope you like it, I sure do.
